Dear Small owner-operated business,
You can continue to operate as an escort
The Business Licensing Authority (BLA) has received information from the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) confirming that as at the date of sending this email that you can operate as a small owner-operator escort.
Sex work service provider licensees are also authorised to recommence their escort agency businesses. However, please note brothels remain closed.
If you are a small owner operator who runs a brothel, you must not operate the brothel until further directions are issued. The operation of brothels remains prohibited in accordance with the directions issued by the Deputy Chief Health Officer. For further information about COVID -19 restrictions go to https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/victorias-restriction-levels-covid-19 or contact DHHS on 1300 650 172.
The BLA will continue to monitor the Directions issued by the Chief Health Officer and will provide updates as they become available.
